What This Role Involves

As a Meat/Produce Team Associate at Walmart, you're responsible for ensuring our meat and produce sections maintain the highest standards of quality, appearance, and customer service. You'll work in a fast-paced retail environment where attention to detail and teamwork directly impact the shopping experience for thousands of customers throughout your community.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Stock, organize, and arrange meat and produce items to highlight freshness and appeal to customers
• Rotate merchandise according to inventory guidelines and expiration dates to maintain product quality and food safety
• Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, displays, and work surfaces to meet health and safety standards
• Assist customers with product selection, preparation questions, and special requests
• Operate department equipment, including scales, pricing systems, and food preparation tools safely and accurately
• Monitor inventory levels and alert supervisors when restocking is needed
• Follow all food handling and safety protocols to protect customer health and comply with regulations

Who We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and cleanliness standards
• Friendly, helpful demeanor and excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and willingness to be a dedicated team player
• Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks in refrigerated and room-temperature environments
