Machine Learning Engineer

Position Summary

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Capgemini's Manhattan office, you'll architect and deploy machine learning systems that transform how leading organizations leverage data and AI. You'll partner with data scientists, software engineers, and business teams to move models from concept to production, solving real problems for clients across finance, healthcare, retail, and technology sectors. This role bridges research and engineering—where your technical depth directly shapes enterprise AI strategy and competitive advantage.

Your Responsibilities

• Design, build, and train machine learning models using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn
• Execute data exploration, preprocessing, and feature engineering on large, complex datasets
• Validate model performance using rigorous evaluation techniques and optimize for production deployment
• Develop scalable, maintainable code that meets enterprise standards and documentation requirements
• Deploy machine learning pipelines to cloud or on-premises environments and monitor live performance
• Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical ML specifications

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related discipline
• Hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments
• Strong programming ability in Python or equivalent languages; SQL proficiency required
• Solid grasp of supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, model validation, and statistical methods
• Familiarity with ML frameworks and tools; experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is valued
• Clear communication skills and proven ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams
