About the Role

As a CDL-A Delivery Truck Driver at Mclane Company, Inc., you'll operate commercial vehicles as part of a national distribution network serving major retail and commercial clients. Your role is to transport goods safely and efficiently, maintain vehicle compliance, and ensure every delivery reflects our commitment to reliability and excellence. Operating from our Verona, Oneida County facility, you'll support the supply chain that keeps American businesses and consumers connected to the products they need.

Core Duties

• Operate commercial delivery vehicles on assigned routes, adhering to all federal motor carrier regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operating condition
• Transport and deliver shipments to multiple customer locations according to dispatch schedules
• Document delivery confirmations and manage associated paperwork accurately
• Coordinate with dispatch to optimize routes and meet delivery commitments
• Maintain professional communication with customers at every stop
• Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and hours-of-service regulations
• Report vehicle maintenance concerns and road hazards to management promptly

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid CDL-A license with a clean driving record
• Demonstrated experience operating Class 8 trucks or comparable commercial vehicles
• Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
• Ability to work independently and meet strict delivery schedules
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency with routine vehicle maintenance inspections
• Professional demeanor and customer service orientation
