Clinical Physical Therapy Team Leader

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Amarillo is seeking a dedicated Clinical Physical Therapy Team Leader to join our healthcare team in Happy, Swisher County. In this full-time leadership position, you'll guide clinical operations while supporting the Director of Therapy Operations and delivering exceptional patient care.

About the Role

As Clinical Physical Therapy Team Leader, you'll oversee daily operations of our physical therapy discipline, combining clinical expertise with supervisory leadership. You'll be responsible for team coordination, staff guidance, and ensuring high-quality therapeutic services across our rehabilitation hospital. This role bridges clinical practice and management, requiring both hands-on therapy skills and the ability to inspire and develop your team.

What You'll Do

• Support the Director of Therapy Operations with day-to-day management of the physical therapy team and clinical workflows
• Evaluate and assess patients using licensed physical therapy competencies, developing individualized care plans
• Deliver direct patient treatment while maintaining clinical best practices and regulatory compliance
• Delegate tasks effectively to team members based on skill levels and workload needs
• Foster interdepartmental communication and collaboration across clinical and administrative teams
• Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to support professional development
• Contribute to quality assurance initiatives and patient outcome improvements

What We're Looking For

• Valid physical therapy license
• Demonstrated supervisory or team leadership experience in a clinical setting
• Strong clinical skills in patient evaluation, assessment, care planning, and treatment
• Excellent communication abilities and proven interpersonal skills
