The Opportunity

Linn-Benton Community College Site seeks dedicated educators for part-time general science instruction. As a PT Faculty member in General Science, you'll deliver engaging science education, build student understanding of core scientific concepts, and support diverse learners in achieving their educational and career goals. This pooled position allows the College to respond quickly when faculty openings emerge.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, laboratory sessions, and hands-on science instruction
• Create and administer assessments including exams, projects, and practical demonstrations
• Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance documentation
• Provide constructive feedback and academic guidance to support student success
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in departmental meetings as required
• Adhere to college policies, safety regulations, and instructional standards

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in General Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, or related science discipline
• Documented experience teaching or tutoring science at the secondary or post-secondary level
• Strong command of general science content and laboratory safety protocols
• Demonstrated ability to engage and support students with varied backgrounds and learning styles
• Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Commitment to student-centered pedagogy and ongoing professional development
