Employee Benefits Account Manager

Position Summary

As an Employee Benefits Account Manager at HUB International, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of employee benefits clients. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their benefits programs remain competitive, compliant, and aligned with their organizational goals. This role combines client relationship management with technical expertise in benefits administration and strategy, requiring both consultative skills and industry knowledge to deliver value-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage assigned employee benefits client accounts, providing strategic guidance on plan design, compliance, and cost optimization
• Conduct annual benefits reviews and renewal meetings to assess client needs and recommend program enhancements
• Coordinate with carriers, third-party administrators, and internal teams to implement benefits solutions
• Monitor regulatory changes and communicate updates to clients to ensure ongoing compliance
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and collaborate with other HUB departments to expand client relationships
• Prepare proposals, analyses, and reports to support client decision-making and business growth
• Maintain detailed client records and account documentation in compliance with company standards

Qualifications

• Proven experience in employee benefits sales, account management, or benefits consulting
• Strong understanding of group health insurance, retirement plans, and employee benefits regulations
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to explain complex benefits to diverse audiences
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships
• Proficiency with benefits administration software and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in business, insurance, or related field preferred
• Relevant industry certifications (CEBS, GPAC, or similar) a plus
