Healthcare Process Risk Manager

Grant Thornton is hiring a full-time Healthcare Process Risk Manager in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County. In this role, you'll partner with healthcare organizations to identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks while building your advisory career within Grant Thornton's Risk Advisory Practice.

About the Role

As a Healthcare Process Risk Manager, you'll be instrumental in helping healthcare clients navigate a complex risk environment. You'll work directly with stakeholders to uncover vulnerabilities in their processes, operations, and systems—then recommend actionable solutions. From the start, you'll have access to experienced mentors, robust tools, and the collaborative support you need to make a real difference for clients and advance your career in advisory services.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Partner with healthcare clients to identify and document process risks across clinical, administrative, compliance, and financial operations
• Conduct risk interviews, workshops, and process walkthroughs with client teams and leadership
• Analyze data and workflows to surface control gaps and operational inefficiencies
• Develop risk heat maps and assessment reports to prioritize areas of greatest concern
• Design and recommend preventive and detective controls tailored to healthcare regulatory requirements
• Present findings and recommendations to client management and internal advisory teams
• Support implementation of risk mitigation initiatives and process improvements

Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, accounting, finance, or a related field
• Knowledge of healthcare operations, compliance frameworks, and regulatory requirements
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to evaluate complex processes and systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging diverse stakeholders
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, data analysis, and process documentation tools
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CISM, or CPA are a plus
