About the Role
The Person In Charge serves as the on-the-floor leader who keeps the store moving when management is away. Based in Sunrise, Broward County, this is a hands-on, full-time position with SpartanNash — part of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family of companies. You will be the go-to point of contact for team members and customers alike, ensuring service standards, safety, and operational flow stay on track throughout your shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day store operations and act as the responsible leader on duty
- Direct, support, and motivate team members to deliver dependable customer service
- Resolve customer questions and concerns quickly and professionally
- Help maintain product availability, including fresh produce and the Our Family® line of goods
- Uphold cleanliness, safety, and company standards across the sales floor
- Step in to cover operational tasks as needed during your shift
Qualifications
- Comfortable leading a team and making sound decisions in a fast-paced setting
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize competing tasks
- Available to work on-site, full-time, in Sunrise, Broward County (this role is not remote)
