Distribution Manager/Operations Manager – Management Consultant

DeWolff, Boberg & Associates is seeking a skilled Distribution Manager/Operations Manager - Management Consultant to join our team in Schiller Park, Cook County. This full-time position offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence while developing management talent across diverse industries.

About This Position

As a Management Consultant focused on distribution and operations, you'll play a pivotal role in helping our clients optimize their supply chains, improve operational workflows, and build stronger management practices. Drawing on our firm's 35+ years of cross-industry consulting expertise, you'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on engagement to deliver measurable results for Fortune 500 and mid-market clients globally.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Analyze client operations and distribution networks to identify inefficiencies and growth opportunities
• Coach and mentor frontline managers and supervisors in operational best practices and behavioral leadership
• Develop and implement process improvements that enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional client teams to design solutions tailored to their business objectives
• Monitor project performance, track KPIs, and present findings and recommendations to senior leadership
• Contribute to proposals and strategic planning for new client engagements

What We're Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in operations management, supply chain, distribution, or management consulting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies
• Proven ability to coach and influence others at all organizational levels
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Willingness to travel occasionally for client engagements
• Experience with Fortune 500 or large-scale operations a plus
