Master Project Scheduler

Maximus is hiring a Master Project Scheduler to manage complex project planning and coordination in Jackson, Madison County. In this full-time role, you'll drive schedule development, resource optimization, and timeline management for federal programs that require precision and strategic oversight.

About the Role

As a Master Project Scheduler at Maximus, you'll be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive project schedules that keep mission-critical federal initiatives on track. You'll work with project managers, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure schedules reflect realistic timelines, resource constraints, and program objectives. Your analysis and recommendations will directly influence how we allocate resources and meet delivery commitments to our federal customers.

What You'll Do

• Create and maintain detailed project schedules using industry-standard scheduling tools and methodologies
• Perform critical path analysis and earned value management to forecast project performance
• Coordinate with stakeholders across multiple teams to integrate schedules and resolve conflicts
• Monitor schedule performance, identify variance, and develop corrective action plans
• Allocate labor and resources to support realistic, achievable timelines
• Prepare schedule status reports and presentations for project leadership and federal partners
• Support proposal development with scheduling analysis and risk assessment

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience managing project schedules in federal contracting, government programs, or large-scale enterprise environments
• Proficiency with professional scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools
• Solid understanding of scheduling best practices, work breakdown structures, and schedule optimization techniques
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex schedules to diverse audiences
• Ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects and maintain meticulous attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline preferred
• Willingness and ability to obtain or maintain a federal security clearance
