Registered Nurse- RN- Pediatric Intensive Care, PICU

Geisinger is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Danville, Montour County. This in-person clinical role offers the opportunity to deliver specialized critical care to children.

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in the PICU at Geisinger, you will provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients in a critical care setting. This full-time position offers competitive compensation with a minimum hiring rate of $41.50 per hour, with higher rates available for experienced nurses and shift differentials of up to $7 per hour for evening, night, and weekend shifts. Eligible candidates receive a $21,500 hiring incentive and up to $7,500 in relocation assistance.

What You'll Do

• Deliver direct nursing care and continuous monitoring for critically ill and injured children
• Administer medications and manage specialized medical equipment per physician orders
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and maintain thorough clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Identify and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Provide compassionate support and communication to patients and families during critical illness
• Uphold clinical standards and ensure compliance with established protocols
