About the Role
As a Float Pharmacy Technician, you'll deliver essential medication support across multiple treatment facilities and community care settings. Your flexibility in working different pharmacy locations allows you to apply your expertise while serving patients navigating serious mental health and chronic illness conditions. You'll be a critical part of a collaborative team committed to changing lives through compassionate pharmaceutical care.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, organize, and dispense medications accurately according to prescriptions and treatment protocols
- Process incoming prescriptions and manage pharmacy intake workflows
- Maintain controlled substance inventory and ensure complete DEA compliance documentation
- Support patient counseling activities under pharmacist direction and answer medication questions
- Coordinate and manage pharmaceutical stock across multiple locations
- Operate pharmacy information systems and maintain precise patient medication records
- Uphold HIPAA standards and patient confidentiality in all operations
- Quickly integrate into different pharmacy environments and operational procedures
What We're Looking For
- State-certified Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB certification or state equivalent)
- Demonstrated proficiency with pharmacy dispensing software and electronic health record systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and unwavering commitment to medication accuracy
- Comfort working flexibly across various treatment facility locations
- Professional communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities
- Familiarity with behavioral health and addiction treatment medications preferred
