Consultant, Sr. Field Clinical Engineer

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Field Clinical Engineer to support our client, a growing medical device innovator specializing in steerable cardiac catheters, in Madison, Dane County. This full-time, on-site position offers a direct opportunity to advance patient care while shaping next-generation cardiac interventional technology.

About the Role

As a Senior Field Clinical Engineer, you will bridge product development and clinical customers, providing expert technical support and field engineering for advanced cardiac catheter systems. You'll play a critical role in clinical evaluations, customer implementations, and the continuous improvement cycle that drives both product excellence and clinical outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Lead on-site technical support and clinical evaluations for steerable cardiac catheter systems
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical challenges in real-world clinical environments
• Gather clinical performance data and feedback to inform product development priorities
• Train medical professionals on device operation, troubleshooting, and best practices
• Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to document findings and drive design improvements
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and medical device safety protocols
• Travel to customer sites as needed to ensure successful implementations and optimal system performance

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, or equivalent discipline
• 3+ years of proven field clinical engineering experience in medical devices
• Strong technical knowledge of cardiac interventional devices or procedures
• Excellent problem-solving ability and technical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to translate complex engineering concepts for clinical end-users
• Professional communication and collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork
• Flexibility to travel and work on-site at customer facilities
