As a Cost Estimator V, you'll direct advanced cost analysis and estimation work on large-scale civil construction initiatives, many exceeding $500 million in total value. Your focus will center on aviation facilities and airport terminal development, where precise cost forecasting directly impacts project viability and stakeholder confidence.
What You'll Do
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for airport terminal and aviation facility projects
- Analyze project scope, engineering plans, and specifications to forecast construction expenses
- Partner with general contractors, design teams, and client leadership throughout the estimating process
- Refine and validate estimates as projects progress through design and construction phases
- Leverage expert knowledge of civil works construction methods, labor markets, materials, and cost trends
- Support project managers and business development teams with detailed cost data and benchmarking
- Maintain quality standards in estimate documentation and technical accuracy
What We're Looking For
- Substantial experience as a Cost Estimator with large general engineering contractors
- Strong background in aviation facilities and commercial airport terminal construction
- Demonstrated estimating work on civil works projects valued at $500 million or higher
- Experience with rail construction and transportation infrastructure is valued
- Proficiency with estimating software and advanced spreadsheet applications
- Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail with complex cost data
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across project teams
