About the Role

Protolabs is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Mold Process Technician to join our Plymouth facility. You'll be central to delivering high-precision molded components for customers across industries. Working alongside our production and engineering teams, you'll operate advanced molding equipment, maintain rigorous quality standards, and troubleshoot process challenges in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

• Set up, operate, and monitor injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy and quality; document all results
• Adjust process parameters—temperature, pressure, cycle time—to meet specifications
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and diagnose equipment issues
• Prepare raw materials and manage mold changes between production runs
• Collaborate with process engineers to optimize cycles and reduce scrap
• Maintain a safe, clean production area in compliance with facility procedures
• Meet daily production targets and support on-time delivery commitments

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Technical background in injection molding, manufacturing, or process operations
• Mechanical aptitude and proven troubleshooting ability
• Ability to read technical drawings and follow process work instructions
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and flexibility for scheduled production hours
• Prior molding equipment experience is valued—but demonstrated willingness to learn matters most
