Join Bowie Elementary as a full-time Paraprofessional for the 2026-2027 school year. The Region 9 HR Services Cooperative is recruiting experienced educational aides to support student learning, classroom operations, and school success in Bowie ISD.
About the Role
Are you passionate about supporting student success and making a difference in an elementary school setting? Bowie Elementary is looking for a dedicated Paraprofessional to work full-time throughout the 2026-2027 school year. In this role, you'll collaborate with teachers and staff to create an inclusive, supportive classroom environment where every student can thrive. This position is essential to our school's ability to provide individualized attention and academic support to our diverse student population.
What You'll Do
- Support classroom instruction by working with students individually and in small groups
- Assist teachers with classroom management and help maintain a positive, productive learning environment
- Monitor student behavior and progress, documenting observations as directed by classroom teachers
- Help organize and manage classroom materials, supplies, and educational resources
- Provide additional academic assistance to students who need extra support
- Support students with special needs and those in inclusive classroom settings
- Communicate regularly with teachers and school staff about student progress and individual needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support Bowie Elementary's educational mission
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and adults
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with elementary-aged students
- Willingness to follow direction and support school policies and procedures
- Reliable attendance and a genuine commitment to student success
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive student information
- Flexibility and willingness to support various classroom and school needs
