Director, Nursing and Clinical Services

Sanford Health is seeking a Director of Nursing and Clinical Services for Chamberlain Medical Center in Chamberlain, South Dakota. This is a full-time, on-site leadership position where you'll oversee clinical operations and nursing services at one of the region's trusted healthcare facilities.

About the Role

As Director of Nursing and Clinical Services, you'll lead a dedicated team focused on delivering high-quality patient care and supporting clinicians across Chamberlain Medical Center. Working day shifts in an 8-hour schedule, you'll be responsible for clinical strategy, team development, and ensuring patient-centered care standards are met throughout your department.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily nursing and clinical operations to maintain quality of care and patient safety standards
• Recruit, hire, train, and mentor nursing and clinical staff members
• Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and best practices
• Manage budgets and resources to support efficient operations
• Collaborate with physicians, administrative leadership, and interdisciplinary teams
• Monitor performance metrics and compliance with healthcare regulations
• Foster a positive work environment that prioritizes staff development and patient satisfaction
• Address staffing challenges and ensure appropriate coverage

What We're Looking For

• Valid RN license in South Dakota or ability to obtain one
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
• Proven leadership experience managing clinical teams
• Strong knowledge of nursing practice standards and healthcare regulations
• Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
• Experience with budget management and financial planning
• Commitment to quality improvement and patient outcomes
• Ability to work day shifts in an on-site setting
