About the Role
In this position, you'll take charge of IMPLAN-based economic analysis and impact assessments for State Department initiatives. Your work will provide crucial quantitative evidence that shapes policy decisions and informs resource allocation strategies across significant Federal programs.
What You'll Do
- Direct IMPLAN modeling projects that quantify economic consequences of government policies and investments
- Execute rigorous evaluation studies measuring program effectiveness and social returns
- Produce technical reports and visualizations translating complex findings for government decision-makers
- Partner with State Department stakeholders to identify analytical requirements and deliver solutions
- Oversee project cycles from scoping through final delivery, ensuring quality standards for Federal contracts
- Provide technical guidance to junior team members on analytical methodology and best practices
What We're Looking For
- Substantive background in input-output analysis, econometric modeling, or government policy evaluation
- Mastery of IMPLAN software and related quantitative analytical tools
- Graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, Statistics, or a closely related quantitative discipline
- Established experience working on Federal engagements or government-sponsored research projects
- Exceptional ability to translate statistical findings into clear narratives for policy audiences
- Capacity to lead multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines and stakeholder demands
