About the Role
As the General Studies Teacher for elementary grades K-5th, you'll take the lead in teaching core academic subjects—mathematics, reading, language arts, science, and social studies—to engaged learners in our North Miami community. Your classroom will be a dynamic space where students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and foundational skills that prepare them for success in higher grades and beyond. You'll design meaningful instruction, assess student learning, and foster a supportive environment where each child can thrive academically and personally.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver high-quality instruction across core elementary subjects
- Create engaging lessons that develop student mastery and critical thinking
- Develop and administer assessments to monitor student progress
- Establish a positive, inclusive classroom culture that supports all learners
- Integrate Jewish values and concepts throughout academic instruction
- Build strong partnerships with families through regular communication
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support
- Maintain classroom operations and guide student behavior toward positive choices
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree with valid elementary teaching certification or license
- Demonstrated experience teaching students in grades K-5th
- Strong command of elementary core subjects and content knowledge
- Proven ability to manage classroom behavior and engage students effectively
