About the Role

This full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist position operates on a standard day shift schedule (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM), 40 hours per week. You'll provide essential diagnostic imaging services that directly support patient care and clinical decision-making at a busy healthcare facility in Carlsbad.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and safely administer radiopharmaceutical agents according to established clinical protocols
• Operate nuclear imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and SPECT systems, to produce diagnostic images
• Position patients with precision and provide compassionate care throughout imaging procedures
• Document patient information and imaging results for quality assurance and medical records
• Work collaboratively with physicians, radiologists, and nursing staff to support accurate diagnoses
• Maintain strict adherence to radiation safety and infection control standards
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and quality control checks

What We're Looking For

• NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification or current eligibility
• Active state licensure as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for New Mexico (or eligible to obtain)
• Hands-on experience operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment in a hospital or clinical setting
• Solid understanding of radiopharmaceutical properties, safety handling, and dosimetry
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel and quickly integrate into new healthcare teams
