About the Role

As a Patient Care Assistant in our Observation Unit, you'll support our nursing team by providing direct patient care and comfort. Observation Unit patients are typically monitored for short-term assessment and management, requiring vigilant, responsive support during night hours. This part-time position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a difference during critical moments in patient recovery.

What You'll Do

• Respond promptly to patient requests and needs, ensuring comfort and safety
• Assist nursing staff with essential patient care activities including hygiene, feeding, and mobility assistance
• Monitor patients for changes in condition and report observations to nursing staff
• Help with vital signs monitoring and patient documentation under supervision
• Support admissions and discharge processes
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and assist with equipment
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability and willingness to work night shifts reliably
• Physical capability to assist patients safely
• Strong communication and compassionate patient-care skills
• Prior patient care experience preferred (nursing homes, home health, or clinical settings)
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification
• Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail
