About the Role
As a Mechanic for Turf Equipment setup at Smith Turf & Irrigation, you'll play a key part in preparing and assembling equipment before it reaches our customers across North and South Carolina. This full-time position offers the chance to work with diverse turf and grounds care machinery in a professional, fast-paced environment.
What You'll Do
- Assemble and configure turf equipment according to manufacturer specifications and customer requirements
- Perform mechanical inspections and quality control checks on equipment before delivery
- Test equipment functionality and diagnose mechanical issues
- Maintain detailed records of setup and testing procedures
- Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction
- Maintain tools and work area to company standards
What We're Looking For
- Mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Reliable, safety-conscious work ethic
- Experience with turf, landscaping, or similar equipment is a plus
- Valid driver's license
