Environmental Health & Safety Manager

Clayton Homes is seeking a driven Environmental Health & Safety Manager to lead workplace safety and environmental compliance at our home building operations in Buckeye, Maricopa County. This full-time, on-site role puts you at the center of a values-driven company committed to attainable, sustainable housing.

About the Role

As the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager, you will champion a culture of safety across our Buckeye facility, ensuring that every team member goes home safe each day. You will develop, implement, and oversee programs that protect people, property, and the environment while supporting Clayton Homes' mission to build quality, attainable homes. This position is ideal for a safety professional who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing and construction environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and continuously improve environmental, health, and safety programs in line with OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to identify hazards and drive corrective action.
• Lead incident investigations, document findings, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Deliver safety training and onboarding to keep team members informed and engaged.
• Track and report safety metrics, compliance records, and environmental documentation.
• Partner with leadership and production teams to embed safe practices into daily operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in environmental health and safety management, ideally within manufacturing, construction, or home building.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable federal and state safety regulations.
• Strong skills in hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
• Excellent communication abilities to train and influence team members at every level.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to lead initiatives independently.
