About the Role
The Breast Imaging Division at the University of Virginia seeks multiple qualified Clinical Instructors to join our team. In this fellowship, you'll engage in comprehensive breast imaging practice, combining diagnostic excellence with clinical education and scholarly activity. As a participant in the National Residency Match Program (NRMP) Fellowship Match, sponsored by the Society of Breast Imaging, you'll work within a structured, nationally recognized training environment.
What You'll Do
- Deliver expert diagnostic and interventional breast imaging services across multiple clinical platforms
- Gain proficiency in the full spectrum of breast imaging modalities, including mammography, ultrasound, and advanced imaging techniques
- Mentor junior physicians and residents, fostering excellence in clinical practice and diagnostic accuracy
- Participate in clinical research and scholarly activity that advances the breast imaging field
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgical oncology, medical oncology, and pathology
- Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based imaging initiatives
What We're Looking For
- MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Diagnostic Radiology
- Current medical license; Virginia licensure required
- Completion of or eligibility for NRMP breast imaging fellowship training
- Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and collaborative approach to patient care
- Commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and ongoing scholarly contribution
