About the Role
As Clinical Instructor for our regional anesthesia fellowship, you will serve as a faculty physician in a tenure-ineligible position focused on clinical education, technical mentorship, and scholarly research. This role combines hands-on clinical practice with opportunities to develop the knowledge and skills of fellows while contributing to the department's mission of excellence in anesthesiology training.
What You'll Do
- Directly supervise and mentor fellows in advanced regional anesthesia procedures and pain management techniques
- Teach ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, regional anesthesia pharmacology, and perioperative regional techniques
- Co-lead educational conferences, clinical rounds, and departmental teaching programs
- Guide fellows through progressive development of technical skills and clinical decision-making in regional anesthesia
- Collaborate on clinical research projects and support scholarly activity within the department
- Maintain high standards of patient safety and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Provide clinical coverage in the operating room and regional anesthesia center
What We're Looking For
- MD or DO degree with completed residency training in anesthesiology
- Board certification or board eligibility in anesthesiology
- Substantial training and demonstrated clinical proficiency in regional anesthesia
- Passion for teaching and mentoring the next generation of physicians
- Strong clinical leadership and collaborative skills
- Interest in clinical research or quality improvement contributions
- Current state medical licensure and federal DEA registration
