Position Summary
UCHealth is hiring a skilled RN to deliver exceptional nursing care in our Operating Room department at our Lakewood, Denver location. This is a full-time travel nursing position offering 72 hours per pay period (bi-weekly schedule) on evening shifts. We welcome 13-week assignments, with dedicated local traveler contract options available for qualified candidates living within 75 miles of our facility. You'll earn $60 per hour plus a comprehensive travel package and stipend to support your assignment.
What You'll Do
- Provide direct patient care and surgical support in a fast-paced operating room environment
- Assist surgical teams during procedures, ensuring patient safety and procedural efficiency
- Prepare operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies according to surgical protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any clinical changes to the surgical team
- Maintain strict infection control and sterile field management throughout surgical cases
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and surgical technologists to deliver coordinated patient care
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate surgical records
What You Bring
- Current Colorado RN license or eNLC (Nurse Licensure Compact) privileges
- Minimum one year of registered nursing experience
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work evening shifts and adapt to a travel assignment schedule
- Professional communication and teamwork in high-stress surgical environments
