About This Position
We're hiring a skilled Tool & Die Maker to join Snap On's Milwaukee operations on the 3rd shift. In this role, you'll analyze, disassemble, and completely rebuild worn, damaged, or outdated equipment and tooling to meet our exacting manufacturing standards. The position combines hands-on machine work with precision troubleshooting, requiring both technical expertise and problem-solving acumen. This is a full-time, 3rd shift role based in Milwaukee, Milwaukee County.
Your Responsibilities
- Analyze, disassemble, and completely rebuild worn-out or outdated tooling and equipment to manufacturing specifications
- Plan and layout all bench and machine operations needed for tooling construction, alteration, and repair
- Operate precision machine tools to construct and modify intricate forming dies and tooling
- Repair and refurbish worn dies and forming equipment to restore them to working order
- Ensure all work meets required tolerances and quality standards
- Work safely and follow all shop safety protocols and procedures
Who We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Tool & Die Maker or in a related tool-and-die or machining role
- Strong proficiency in bench work, machine tool operation, and precision fitting
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Solid understanding of tolerances, fits, and machining best practices
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently
- Willingness to work 3rd shift
