The Opportunity
Washington City is seeking a dedicated Cemetery Maintenance Worker 1 PT to join our cemetery operations team in Washington, Washington County. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for the essential construction, installation, maintenance, and repair work that keeps our cemetery grounds beautiful, respectful, and well-maintained. Working under the supervision of the Cemetery Maintenance Worker II, Cemetery Sexton, or Parks Superintendent, you'll develop valuable skills in groundskeeping and facility operations while making a direct impact on our community.
Responsibilities
- Perform construction and installation tasks related to cemetery infrastructure, monuments, and grounds
- Conduct regular maintenance activities to preserve the appearance and integrity of cemetery grounds
- Execute repair work on cemetery pathways, landscaping, and related facilities
- Maintain and operate groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and respects the dignity of the cemetery environment
- Coordinate with supervisory staff to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities
