Commercial Driver – Part Time

AutoZone, Inc. is seeking a Commercial Driver - Part Time to join its team in Rupert, Minidoka County. This Full‑Time position supports the timely delivery of automotive parts and supplies to store locations and customers.

About the Role

As a Commercial Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating company vehicles to transport merchandise between distribution centers, stores, and customer sites. You will help maintain inventory levels by ensuring that shipments arrive on schedule and in good condition, contributing directly to the store teams’ ability to deliver WOW! customer service.

What You'll Do

• Load, secure, and unload automotive parts and accessories using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
• Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, including hours‑of‑service logging and vehicle inspection requirements.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections, report any mechanical issues, and keep the vehicle clean and well‑maintained.
• Communicate with store personnel and customers to confirm delivery details and address any questions or concerns.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, mileage logs, and paperwork in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with occasional warehouse tasks such as sorting, labeling, and stocking when not on the road.

What We're Looking For

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for the vehicle class used.
• Clean driving record with no major violations or suspensions.
• Ability to lift and move heavy items, frequently up to 50 pounds, and occasionally more.
• Basic knowledge of automotive parts and a willingness to learn product details.
• Strong time‑management skills and a commitment to punctuality and safety.
• Good communication abilities and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as needed.
