PPM Maintenance Mechanic II- (COL) 6.7

EMCOR Group is seeking a skilled PPM Maintenance Mechanic II- (COL) 6.7 to join our team in Eaton Park, Polk County. This full‑time role focuses on preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs for industrial facilities that support power, chemical, and manufacturing operations.

About the Role

As a PPM Maintenance Mechanic II, you will perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PPM) tasks on mechanical systems, respond to equipment failures, and ensure safe, reliable operation of plant assets. You will work closely with operations and engineering teams to maintain uptime and support continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Execute preventive maintenance work orders on pumps, valves, conveyors, and related mechanical equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, perform repairs, and replace worn components in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, alignment, and vibration analysis to detect early signs of wear.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and participate in daily safety briefings.
• Assist with installation of new equipment and support modification projects as needed.
• Provide guidance to junior mechanics and contribute to a collaborative shift‑based work environment.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in industrial maintenance or a related trade is preferred.
• Minimum of three years of hands‑on experience as a maintenance mechanic in a heavy‑industry setting (power generation, chemical, pulp & paper, or similar).
• Proficient with mechanical hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and troubleshooting hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Strong understanding of preventive maintenance practices and ability to read mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Effective communication skills, a safety‑first mindset, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, and to respond to occasional call‑out emergencies.
