About the Role

This full‑time position supports the university’s digital storytelling by creating engaging short‑form video content for social platforms. You will work closely with the communications team to amplify campus stories, events, and initiatives through dynamic editing that captures audience interest quickly.

What You'll Do

• Edit video assets for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter, adhering to platform‑specific best practices.
• Collaborate with writers, designers, and marketing staff to develop concepts that align with brand guidelines.
• Source and integrate footage, graphics, music, and motion graphics to produce polished final cuts.
• Stay current with emerging video trends, editing tools, and platform algorithm updates.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines while maintaining high quality.
• Perform basic color correction, audio mixing, and captioning to ensure accessibility.
• Archive and organize media assets in a shared library for easy retrieval.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience editing short‑form video for social media, with a strong portfolio showcasing varied styles.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or comparable editing software.
• Solid understanding of aspect ratios, resolution, and file optimization for each major social network.
• Ability to interpret creative briefs and translate them into compelling visual narratives.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, especially when handling multiple revisions.
• Basic knowledge of motion graphics principles and animation techniques.
• Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• A passion for higher education storytelling and an interest in showcasing campus life.
