Kreyco is hiring a Special Education Teacher for Self-Contained Instruction in Atlantic City, Atlantic County. This is a part-time teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year, designed for educators committed to delivering specialized, individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.

About the Role

You'll take the lead in a self-contained special education classroom, where every student's success is your direct responsibility. This role requires expertise in adapting curriculum, designing differentiated lessons, and implementing evidence-based interventions tailored to each learner's unique strengths and challenges. You'll collaborate with support staff, families, and administrators to create an inclusive, structured learning environment where students build both academic and life skills.

What You'll Do

• Plan and deliver individualized instruction across core subjects aligned with students' IEPs
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies based on performance data
• Develop behavior management and classroom routines that support student safety and engagement
• Communicate consistently with families about student development and classroom expectations
• Document instructional activities and student outcomes in compliance with district and state requirements
• Coordinate with special education specialists, related services providers, and general education staff

What We're Looking For

• Valid New Jersey special education teacher certification (or eligibility to obtain)
• Strong foundation in special education methodology and differentiated instruction
• Proven ability to manage classroom behavior with patience, clarity, and positive reinforcement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for IEPs, documentation, and family partnerships
• Flexibility, adaptability, and genuine commitment to meeting students where they are
• Organizational skills and attention to compliance with special education regulations
