RCH – Plant Equip Op I Boiler

Elevate Textiles is hiring a full-time Plant Equipment Operator I (Boiler) to join our operations team in Rockingham, Richmond County. This is an essential role supporting our manufacturing facility's critical infrastructure.

About the Role

As a Plant Equipment Operator I – Boiler, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our boiler systems and related plant equipment. You'll monitor system performance, maintain detailed operational logs, and respond promptly to alerts and anomalies. This position requires reliability, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety in a dynamic industrial environment.

What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor boiler systems and connected plant equipment throughout your assigned shift
• Perform routine equipment inspections and preventive maintenance tasks
• Read and record gauge readings, pressure levels, and other performance metrics
• Respond immediately to system alarms and troubleshoot minor operational issues
• Maintain accurate, legible records and logs for compliance and operational continuity
• Coordinate with maintenance and engineering teams on equipment concerns
• Work safely in outdoor and variable weather conditions as required by the role

What We're Looking For

• Ability to work assigned shifts with strong attendance and minimal absences
• Willingness to work in adverse weather and environmental conditions (cold, heat, humidity, outdoor exposure)
• Commitment to obtaining and maintaining the required industrial vehicle operator license
• Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
• Ability to be reached outside normal hours in the event of plant emergencies
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to operational protocols
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills for logkeeping and equipment monitoring
