About the Role
As a Telemetry Registered Nurse with GetMed Staffing, you'll monitor patients with complex cardiac needs and other conditions requiring continuous telemetry surveillance. Working in Elizabethtown's healthcare facilities, you'll combine clinical vigilance with compassionate patient interaction, responding to cardiac events and supporting patient recovery in real time.
What You'll Do
- Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms via telemetry systems
- Recognize and respond to arrhythmias and abnormal cardiac events
- Perform patient assessments, vital sign monitoring, and clinical documentation
- Administer medications and follow provider orders with precision
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including cardiologists and specialists
- Educate patients on cardiac health, medications, and recovery protocols
- Maintain detailed patient records and communicate clinical changes immediately
What We're Looking For
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license for Kentucky practice
- Minimum 1–2 years of direct telemetry or cardiac care nursing experience
- Solid proficiency with EKG interpretation and arrhythmia identification
- Hands-on experience with cardiac monitoring equipment and hospital systems
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking in dynamic settings
- Ability to function autonomously while partnering effectively with care teams
- Travel-ready flexibility and professional adaptability
