Graduate Assistant – Sports Information AY 26-27

Franklin Pierce University is seeking an engaged graduate student to join the athletics department as a Graduate Assistant supporting sports information operations. This full-time, two-year position offers an excellent opportunity to gain professional experience in collegiate sports media relations, communications, and event management while pursuing your graduate degree in Rindge.

About the Role

As a Graduate Assistant in Sports Information, you'll be at the heart of how Franklin Pierce University's athletic programs connect with fans, media, and the campus community. You'll work alongside our sports information professionals to manage communications, content creation, and public relations for our teams and events.

What You'll Do

• Assist with game day operations, including press box support, media relations, and live statistics management
• Contribute to press releases, media guides, game notes, and official athletic publications
• Create and manage digital content for university athletics social media channels and web platforms
• Support event planning and coordination for competitions and promotional activities
• Maintain athletic records, databases, and statistical information
• Provide administrative support to the sports information office and coaching staff
• Assist with photography, videography, or multimedia content creation as needed

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
• Acceptance into or enrollment in a graduate studies program at Franklin Pierce University (graduate status must be confirmed prior to employment)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content creation
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Demonstrated interest in college athletics and sports communications
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office or equivalent productivity software
