SMB Account Executive – Public Sector

UKG is hiring a full-time SMB Account Executive focused on the public sector in Grandview Heights, Franklin County. This role combines sales strategy, relationship management, and industry expertise to grow partnerships with government agencies and public organizations using UKG's workforce operating platform.

About the Role

As an SMB Account Executive serving the public sector, you'll identify, close, and expand relationships with small to mid-sized government entities and public agencies. You'll manage a defined territory, build pipeline, and drive revenue growth while helping public sector clients solve workforce management challenges with UKG solutions.

What You'll Do

• Identify and qualify sales opportunities within assigned public sector territory
• Develop account plans and pipeline strategy for new and existing government clients
• Present UKG workforce solutions tailored to public agency operations and compliance needs
• Navigate complex procurement cycles and multi-stakeholder decision-making in government sales
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with public sector decision-makers and budget owners
• Negotiate contracts and close agreements to meet revenue targets
• Forecast activity, track pipeline, and report progress through CRM systems
• Partner with account teams to ensure client success and drive platform adoption

What We're Looking For

• Proven B2B sales experience, with demonstrated success in government or public sector sales preferred
• Deep understanding of how public agencies operate, including procurement, compliance, and budget cycles
• Consistent track record of managing sales pipeline and achieving revenue goals
• Strong executive-level communication and consultative selling skills
• Proficiency with CRM platforms and modern sales methodologies
• Customer-focused problem-solving approach with ability to align solutions to agency needs
• Self-directed work style with ability to collaborate effectively across teams
