About the Role

As Senior Counsel in the Labor & Employment practice, you'll serve as a trusted legal advisor to Cardinal Health's leadership, specializing in matters affecting managed service organizations (MSOs) and physician employment arrangements. This role bridges legal strategy and business operations, helping the organization identify, assess, and resolve labor and employment challenges before they escalate into costly disputes.

What You'll Do

• Counsel business leaders and Employee & Labor Relations teams on employment law risks and mitigation strategies
• Provide legal analysis on labor compliance, wage and hour regulations, discrimination, harassment, and related employment matters
• Advise on physician employment arrangements and MSO structuring to ensure legal compliance and operational effectiveness
• Support employment-related litigation and regulatory investigations as needed
• Review and develop employment policies, separation agreements, and retention strategies
• Identify emerging legal risks and recommend proactive organizational responses
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on employee relations issues requiring legal guidance

What We're Looking For

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law and in good standing
• 8+ years of experience in labor and employment law
• Strong knowledge of federal and state employment regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to advise senior leadership and manage complex legal matters
