About the Role

This full-time travel nursing position places a skilled Emergency Room RN at a healthcare facility in Dubuque, Iowa. The assignment runs for 13 weeks, with a schedule of 36 hours per week across 12-hour night shifts and an anticipated start date of July 12, 2026. As a travel ED nurse, you'll deliver urgent, high-acuity care to patients arriving with a wide range of conditions while collaborating closely with the emergency team.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide rapid, evidence-based nursing care to emergency department patients of varying acuity levels.
• Triage, assess, and prioritize incoming patients during 12-hour overnight shifts.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and ED protocols.
• Document patient care accurately and communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary care team.
• Respond calmly and decisively to trauma, cardiac, and other critical situations.

Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in Iowa (or a compact license).
• Demonstrated experience in an Emergency Department (ED) setting.
• Availability for the full 13-week assignment, including 12-hour night shifts totaling 36 hours weekly.
• Willingness to relocate or travel to Dubuque, Dubuque County for the duration of the contract.
• Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
