About the Role

Join Hartford Hospital's clinical team as a part-time nursing professional delivering specialized patient care in our Specialty Medical Nursing Units. This position offers flexible scheduling across various shifts, including weekend and holiday rotations, allowing you to grow your nursing practice while maintaining schedule flexibility.

What You'll Do

• Deliver direct, evidence-based patient care in our specialty medical nursing units
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and communicate changes to the healthcare team
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff to develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to clinical protocols
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatments, and recovery expectations
• Document care activities and maintain accurate patient records
• Support a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment for patient healing

What We're Looking For

• Current RN or GN licensure in Connecticut or eligibility to obtain
• Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Genuine commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Flexibility and reliability for various shifts, weekends, and holidays
• Entry-level nurses and recent graduates strongly encouraged to apply

Location & Schedule

Based at our Seymour Street location in Hartford County's Barry Square neighborhood, this part-time role features flexible hours across multiple shift options, with weekend and holiday availability as part of our rotating schedule.
