About the Role
As a Relief Youth Development Counselor, you're a stabilizing presence for the youth in our care. You combine genuine empathy with structured support, helping young people address their immediate needs while building the emotional resilience and practical abilities they need to thrive. This is frontline work that directly impacts lives—every shift counts.
What You'll Do
- Support youth with daily living essentials, ensuring they feel physically safe and emotionally supported
- Execute personalized treatment plans—both individual and group-based—that help young people track progress toward their goals
- Guide group counseling sessions that help youth develop conflict resolution and collaborative problem-solving skills
- Model and teach practical life skills across areas like communication, financial literacy, and self-care
- Foster healthy, constructive relationships with the young people in your care through consistent presence and encouragement
- Document progress and collaborate with the broader care team to ensure continuity of support
