About the Role
As a Paralegal II at TrueML, you'll provide comprehensive legal support across diverse practice areas, working directly with our legal team to advance our customer-focused initiatives. You'll manage documents, conduct legal research, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations while supporting the development and delivery of our platform. Your work will directly impact how we serve distressed borrowers through thoughtful, legally sound processes.
What You'll Do
- Prepare, review, and organize legal documents and correspondence
- Conduct legal research using online databases and other resources to support case strategy and compliance efforts
- Maintain detailed case files and manage document control systems
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and other legal documents under attorney supervision
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as assigned
- Track deadlines, calendaring, and litigation timelines to ensure timely filing and response
- Assist with regulatory compliance matters related to financial services and consumer protection laws
- Support contract review and management processes
What We're Looking For
- Paralegal certification or associate degree in paralegal studies (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of paralegal experience demonstrating increasing responsibility
- Strong knowledge of legal research tools and document management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal software platforms
- Experience in litigation, corporate law, or financial services is a plus
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all legal work
