About the Role
As a Field Service Technician-Network, you'll be the technical backbone of our fiber deployment and customer support operations. You'll work directly with network infrastructure in the field, ensuring systems perform optimally and customers experience uninterrupted service. This is hands-on technical work that requires problem-solving, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
What You'll Do
- Install, configure, and activate fiber optic equipment and network components at customer locations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network connectivity issues using industry-standard testing equipment
- Repair and replace defective network hardware and cabling
- Perform preventive maintenance on fiber infrastructure and network systems
- Document all work accurately and maintain detailed service records
- Respond to service calls and emergency requests to restore network connectivity
- Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all job sites
- Communicate clearly with customers and coordinate with internal teams
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Technical aptitude and ability to read technical diagrams and specifications
- Physical ability to lift equipment, climb poles, and work at heights safely
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Reliable, professional demeanor and customer service orientation
- Willingness to work flexible schedules, including on-call availability
- Relevant field service or telecom experience a plus; certification or training preferred
