Join Danaher Corporation's Integrated DNA Technologies (IDT) team as a Technician II supporting our Fast Turn Pools operation in Johnson County, Iowa. This full-time position operates Monday through Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm, and plays an important role in supporting scientific research and diagnostic innovation.
About the Role
As a Technician II in our Fast Turn Pools division, you'll work directly with laboratory equipment, samples, and processes that enable our capabilities in life sciences and diagnostics. This hands-on position involves supporting production operations and quality assurance to ensure the integrity of our products that scientists and researchers rely on.
What You'll Do
- Operate and maintain specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Perform quality control checks and document results accurately
- Handle biological and chemical samples according to established protocols
- Support production scheduling and material preparation
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment meeting industry standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet production objectives
- Follow safety procedures and comply with regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For
- Experience as a Technician I or equivalent hands-on laboratory or production role
- Solid understanding of standard laboratory practices and safety protocols
- Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, with the ability to maintain a consistent work schedule
- Basic computer skills for data entry and system access
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or some college coursework is a plus
