What This Role Involves

As Senior Audit Project Manager for Capital Markets at U.S. Bank, you'll oversee end-to-end audit projects that evaluate controls, processes, and compliance across trading, investment banking, and securities operations. You'll lead cross-functional audit teams, establish project timelines and deliverables, and ensure findings are clearly communicated to senior management and business leaders. Your work directly impacts how U.S. Bank manages risk in capital markets and maintains regulatory standards.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Plan, scope, and execute audit projects covering capital markets operations, trading systems, and compliance frameworks
• Coordinate audit teams and manage resource allocation to meet project milestones and quality standards
• Evaluate internal controls and identify gaps, documenting findings with actionable recommendations
• Collaborate with business partners to understand capital markets processes, systems, and risk landscapes
• Prepare audit reports and present findings to management, audit committees, and regulatory stakeholders
• Monitor implementation of audit recommendations and track remediation progress

Qualifications

• 8+ years of internal or external audit experience, with demonstrated expertise in capital markets, trading, or investment operations
• Advanced project management capabilities, including budget tracking, scheduling, and team oversight
• Strong knowledge of capital markets products, regulatory requirements, and control frameworks
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex audit findings to executive audiences
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA or CIA highly preferred
