About the Role
Join our national multidisciplinary design firm as a Job Captain specializing in healthcare projects. You will manage the design and construction documentation process from concept through completion, ensuring precision, consistency, and timely delivery across all project phases. This leadership position sits at the intersection of design innovation and practical construction execution, where your technical expertise directly impacts the quality of healthcare environments.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all phases of design development and construction documentation for healthcare projects
- Coordinate between architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors to maintain alignment and quality standards
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure on-time, on-budget completion
- Review drawings, specifications, and technical documentation for accuracy and constructability
- Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions with clients and internal teams
- Ensure compliance with healthcare facility codes, regulations, and design standards
- Lead design meetings and manage document control throughout the project lifecycle
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Job Captain or similar leadership role on healthcare or institutional projects
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities in fast-paced design environments
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with diverse stakeholders
- Advanced technical proficiency with design and documentation software (Revit, AutoCAD, or equivalent)
