About the Role

Indeed is seeking a Senior Corporate Counsel, Contracts to provide strategic legal counsel on commercial agreements and contracts across our organization. You'll work directly with business teams, managing the full lifecycle of corporate contracts—from initial negotiation through execution and ongoing management. This full-time position is based in Chicago and offers the opportunity to shape legal strategy for a company serving millions of job seekers and employers worldwide.

What You'll Do

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, service agreements, licenses, and partnership deals
• Assess legal risks and provide strategic recommendations to minimize exposure while supporting business objectives
• Advise business teams and stakeholders on contract terms, compliance requirements, and legal implications
• Manage contract databases and establish processes to track key obligations, renewal dates, and compliance deadlines
• Support litigation and dispute resolution matters as needed
• Partner with other legal and business functions to ensure alignment on commercial strategy

What We're Looking For

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission (Illinois or willingness to obtain)
• 5+ years of experience in contract law or corporate counsel roles, preferably in a technology or services industry
• Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
• Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
