Senior Director, Marketing Media

GEICO is hiring a Senior Director, Marketing Media to lead strategic media planning and execution from our Bethesda, Montgomery County headquarters. This is a full-time position overseeing media strategy, budget management, and campaign performance for one of America's most recognized insurance brands.

About the Role

As Senior Director of Marketing Media, you'll own the comprehensive media strategy that drives customer acquisition and brand awareness. You'll direct the planning, buying, and optimization of media across digital, broadcast, cable, and emerging channels. Working closely with creative, analytics, and product teams, you'll translate business objectives into media plans that deliver measurable results and maximize return on investment.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute integrated media strategies aligned with company growth and market opportunities
• Oversee media budget allocation and vendor partnerships with agencies and media providers
• Lead cross-functional teams through campaign planning, launch, monitoring, and optimization
• Use data analytics to track campaign performance, identify trends, and recommend strategic adjustments
• Manage relationships with media agencies and negotiate terms to drive efficiency and effectiveness
• Stay current with media landscape shifts, emerging channels, and consumer behavior trends
• Report on media performance metrics and business impact to senior leadership

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of marketing media experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership or director-level role
• Proven track record developing and executing integrated media strategies
• Deep knowledge of media planning, buying, analytics, and performance measurement
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage large budgets
• Leadership experience building and managing high-performing teams
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Strategic mindset paired with hands-on attention to campaign execution and results
