This travel nursing position places you on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in Centerville, IA, beginning July 13, 2026. You will work 12-hour night shifts at 36 hours per week, providing direct patient care to a medically complex population requiring both surgical recovery support and continuous cardiac monitoring. The pay package of $2,098 per week is calculated on the basis of 12-hour shifts and a 36-hour weekly schedule.

What You'll Do

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to adult patients on a combined medical-surgical and telemetry unit throughout overnight shifts
• Monitor, interpret, and respond to continuous cardiac telemetry readings, escalating rhythm changes per protocol
• Perform thorough head-to-toe assessments, document findings accurately in the electronic health record, and communicate updates during handoff
• Administer medications, manage IV lines, and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapy, and case management
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care, medication management, and discharge planning
• Maintain patient safety standards and adhere to facility policies during the full 13-week contract

What We're Looking For

• Active, unencumbered RN licensure valid in Iowa (or compact state eligibility)
• Demonstrated clinical experience in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or a combined Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Proficiency reading and responding to telemetry rhythms; ACLS certification preferred
• Ability to work night shifts and 36-hour weekly schedules throughout a 13-week travel contract
• Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills in a fast-paced inpatient environment
• Comfort adapting quickly to a new facility, team, and patient population — a hallmark of successful travel nurses
