About the Role
The Department of Cancer Innovation at Nemours Children's Health is recruiting a driven Research Scientist-Cancer Innovation, an appointment equivalent to a tenure-track Assistant Professor. You will help build and shape the Cancer Innovation Center, a tightly collaborative environment dedicated to advancing discoveries that improve outcomes for children affected by cancer. The position is based in Orlando, Florida, and is not remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead an independent, externally funded research program focused on cancer.
- Contribute to the collaborative scientific mission of the growing Cancer Innovation Center.
- Pursue innovative investigation that advances the understanding and treatment of cancer.
- Partner with colleagues across disciplines to translate research into meaningful pediatric impact.
Qualifications
- A PhD or combined MD/PhD degree.
- Substantial postdoctoral research experience.
- A demonstrated record of excellence and accomplishment in cancer research.
- Strong motivation to thrive within a highly collaborative academic setting.
