Family Worker (Family Child Care)

Cardinal McCloskey Community Services is hiring a full-time Family Worker (Family Child Care) to support at-risk children and families across the High Bridge and Morrisania neighborhoods of the Bronx. About the Role

As a Family Worker (Family Child Care) at Cardinal McCloskey Community Services, you will be a frontline partner to families, helping connect them to community-based resources that protect children, strengthen households, and promote independence. Based in the Bronx, this position blends hands-on family support with coordination across CMCS programs serving children, families, and individuals with developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage and support families enrolled in family child care services throughout High Bridge and Morrisania, Bronx.
• Help families access community-based resources that advance safety, stability, and self-sufficiency.
• Build trusting relationships with children, parents, and caregivers to identify needs and goals.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver quality, person-centered services.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with agency and program standards.

Qualifications

• A genuine commitment to protecting and empowering at-risk children and families.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working directly with diverse households.
• Ability to work effectively within a community-based, mission-driven environment.
• Comfort coordinating services and keeping organized, reliable records.
• Availability for a full-time, on-site schedule in the Bronx (this is not a remote role).
